Appearance: Wears a citadel uniform of white and pale blue with gold detailing. Has short, black gloves. Wears his hair styled in a fluffy wave that looks like cartoon toothpaste. More muscular than the average Rick.

Bio: Brigadier's original dimension was home to a reality where Earth was taken over by colonizing aliens that abandoned the human race to fend for themselves in a wasteland. As a resourceful Rick with leadership skills, Brigadier helped his community by training others in combat as well as experimenting with bioscience to calculate sustainable resources for faster growth of crops and livestock.

Through a series of events he doesn't enjoy talking about, Brig accidentally caused the demise of the human race from a mistake involving the discovery of portal fluid and the sporadic growth of an ecosystem. With no place to call home, him and his Morty ended up at the Citadel, and with his experience in combat he quickly climbed the ladder of guard ranks and made it to the title brigadier: leader of all silver rank guards.

To haphazardly bandage his guilt for destroying his home, Brig involves himself in backstage activities, using his connections in the Citadel to do “good deeds” undercover such as dismantling Morty trafficking rings (a huge issue after the Pocket Mortys incident), illegal distribution of weapons and cargo, along with other such incidents. By chance during a Morty trafficking shakedown he came across a mermaid Morty that rehabilitated then later adopted, which he keeps in a large tank in his house.

Personality: Strict and professional when on duty. When he's not working, he's fairly quiet. This Rick get along with very few other Ricks since he thinks most are selfish for taking their Mortys for granted and treating them poorly. Rarely holds grudges. Secretly an optimist. Has no loyalty towards the Citadel itself or the Council, and would gladly do something against the grain if it aligned with his personal morals.

Appearance: Looks like your average Rick, save for the bit of extra weight he carries thanks to bad eating habits when he's off the clock. Has a bullet scar on his side, right below his left arm.

Rick K-173 returned to Beth when Summer was a toddler and Morty was a year old. This fracture in most timelines caused for something horrific to happen to the Smith family, and Rick only managed to save Morty. Something clicked, and Rick dropped his obsession with space exploration and adventure to raise baby Morty.

He got an apartment to live on his own and raise him. As the years went by, raising Morty mellowed him out quite a bit. When Morty was 13 he got snatched by another Rick, and K-173 spent a few months trying to track him down. He refused to use a tracking chip on Morty like other Ricks, and it bit him in the ass.

After a series of unfortunate decisions and bad luck, Rick eventually caved and decided to join the guards of the Citadel, expecting that the Citadel's resources might help him find his grandson.

In the Citadel, Rick lives a fairly lonely life. He's untrusting of other Ricks as he follows through the monotony of being a guard and mostly keeps to himself. Someday he hopes to find his Morty while traveling different dimensions during missions the council assigns (and kill the Rick that took him), but he's fairly certain the odds aren't in his favor.

When he's not working, he spends his days wandering the universe. Initially to look for Morty, but it eventually turned into simple trips of collecting different minerals to put on his shelf at home, or gather flowers to press in books. These hobbies were picked up as a way to tell how long he's been in the Citadel. Unlike many thrill-seeking Ricks, Guard prefers to keep danger at work and occupy his time off shift with trying to heal from his loss.

A few years after becoming a guard, Rick's Morty was discovered and returned to him after a trial against the Citadel of Ricks for plotting a mass murder of various Ricks. The crime was unsuccessful, and since it was noted that Morty was attached to a malfunctioned manipulator chip, responsibility for the crime was pinned on the Rick who chipped him. Morty was given to his original Rick (K-173) to be dealt with. The chip could not be removed without irreversible damage, and since a side effect of the chip was that Morty could not remember Guard Rick, the two struggled to rebuild the bond they had from scratch. Despite Morty's distrust and hatred for Ricks and Guard disheartened by an unhappy reunion, Rick tries his best to restore what they had.

Appearance: Vanilla Rick hair, parted at his left temple due to a scar from his brow to the back of his scalp. Wears glasses and usually a button up with a tie. Often uses a cane.

Bio: A loner Rick from a dimension where soulbonds are the norm. His earth only had one language, easily shared and understood thanks to the telepathic nature of humans in S-5683. The culture of this Earth centered around peace and harmony and war was infrequent due to the catastrophic results of death if triggered unnaturally. When one half of an unbonded pair dies, the other soon follows, with their body involuntarily shutting down as their mind goes through mental and emotional turmoil due to loss of their other half. To break a bond prematurely is considered a tragedy.

This Rick lost his other half in the crux of their soulbond development, and as a Rick he stubbornly resisted the process of death and performed self-surgery to extract the part of his brain that triggered such responses. The rushed surgery resulted in internal scarring and opened up a plethora of other issues, and inherently from avoiding death his body is in constant attempt to break itself down. He takes medication to subside the effects and often “forgets” doses due to being a sad self-destructive ho.

When Ray found the Citadel he was intrigued by the discovery of other dimensions using more than one language and their inability to telepathically communicate, and he began lingual studies to better understand the phenomenon. This inspired his main interest of translating alien works into more easily understood Earth languages.

He owns a bookshop in a quiet district of the Citadel and occupies his free time writing novels under a pseudonym and updating his free digital library of easily accessible alien science and literature. Though this Rick is proud and hates to be on the receiving end of help, his chronic pain and epilepsy make it hard to live alone. He's only a few steps away from getting a slap on the wrist for being without a Morty while living in the Citadel for so long.

Personality: Down to party and also down to chill. More patient than the average Rick, but once someone gets on his nerves there's a permanent grudge. Takes criticism poorly. A bit nostalgic for the chunk of time most Ricks adventured and explored alone. Prone to pulling all-nighters if an autopsy is complicated and interesting.

Appearance: Typical medical examiner uniform for Ricks, save for the scouter over his right eye. Hair is much like a typical Rick except for it tapering shorter than usual around the ear.

139 started his life as a fairly average person. Growing up, there was a pressure for him to be successful or face being a family disappointment. Despite having an interest in science that varied from a 'useful' and traditional way of life, that passion was tucked away and abandoned for most of his early years in favor of trying to live up to expectations placed on him. He finished school early, got a masters in physiology two years before many could, and got engaged with a successful Diane who reflected many of the critical pressures he dealt with. Their relationship ended incredibly early and he left to explore the universe before Beth was born.

This Rick was one of the first to work in the Citadel. He started as a typical guard when their duties were more interesting him (scouting Citadel surroundings, monitoring cargo and regulations, protecting the Citadel) and then got bored once the Council of Ricks became prominent in the Citadel and focused guard duties to make their own protection top priority. He moved on to apply his degree in physiology and experience with medical trauma as a guard to become a medical examiner.

Side note: this muse is a variation of K-173 where he never ended up raising Kai and instead got involved with the Citadel during that time period. Their timelines parallel up to the point of their graduation.

Appearance: Short hair gelled to the side. He wears a maroon uniform with gold details–basically looks like a military sci-fi antagonist. His right arm is typically mechanical, but different parts of him may be exposed metal pieces depending on which section he's working on. Red has a device on his back filled with a golden liquid he's developed meant to keep him alive forever. It's not perfected, but it makes him age slower. Despite thinking he's without flaw, he is always trying to fix himself to physically be better.

Bio: This Rick thinks he is the only Rick that deserves to be alive. He travels dimensions, forever on a quest to eradicate every Rick excluding himself. Red theorizes that if the main-line dimension (direct numerical dimension following a number, such as C-233) of a string of dimensions (All C dimensions. including Alpha-numerals) is killed in a certain way, the string of dimensions will collapse and cease to exist. His main goal is to destroy every dimension but one to keep as his own.

Red has gone through various Mortys. He tends to push the envelope with their emotional and physical states just to see how far they can be pressed before snapping. Mortys are disposable experiments, used as science projects to develop a successful immortal body that he plans to adapt for himself. When they catch onto his plan, rebel, or he gets bored, Red dumps them in a dimension to fend for themselves then moves on to another target. Over the years he's worked on developing the Morty Manipulator chip to veto their resistance to experiments, but so far he hasn't managed to completely erase a Morty's agency.

Appearance: Long hair usually pulled back in a ponytail. Usually wears oversized band tees. Tattoo sleeve on right arm and inner thigh. Pierced brow, lip, tongue and nips. You get the idea.

Bio: This Rick was a prominent musician in the late 70s-early 80s but dropped his gig when his side hobby of science began to have more purpose. Heavily involved with the queer community, he left his passion for music to instead work on lgbt healthcare when the AIDS crisis first begun and he patented a vaccine for HIV. With the tragedy not nearly as prominent in his dimension, lgbt folks have a more steady progression and flourishing community as acceptance becomes the norm and resources are more available.

During this time he was happily bi but a closeted trans guy and, his partner Daniel had a suspicion while they started to make a family that Tats wasn't as happy as he could be. Tats' unhappiness inspired him to focus more on science and community work rather than his family, and as such, despite him and Daniel being good friends they decided to part ways and Tats was left with Beth. Their relationship became stronger as friends and Beth was noticeably happier.

In the mid 80s, Rick invented various alternatives for the trans comm while going through his own transition, streamlining the functionality and results of surgeries and transition methods. at the same time he found his own passion for creating bio-prosthetic wangs.

With a prominent impact on Earth, he did begin to get worn down and wanted a more quiet life. he missed his band days greatly, and when his granddaughter Molly became 13 he decided to move to the Citadel to start an artistic career and "retire", becoming a tattoo artist and essentially starting from scratch as a the person he wished he was in his youth.

Appearance: The front of Kai's hair is styled. When not in a guard uniform, he wears a grey hoodie over a yellow shirt. Has an odd tattoo design on his back that looks like a blueprint. Kai's body is mostly mechanical--this leads to chronic pain since his body was not allowed to grow naturally during his teen years. His Rick often has to adjust the measurements of his enhancements. Sadly, thanks to the metal being so intricately laced with his organic body, they cannot be extracted easily. The metal pieces can be felt through his skin, especially through the disks in his hands, which cannot stretch or close to their fullest extent due to damaged tendons.

Kai grew up as an only child with Rick as a caretaker. He has no knowledge of Summer, and was too young to remember his parents. With a supportive Rick encouraging him in school and helping manage both anxiety and a stutter, Kai was a good student that grew into a confident teen.

When he was barely 14 he was taken by a and his entire life was thrown off balance. This was the first Rick to develop a Morty Manipulator Chip, but it wasn't perfected like the chips used in Pocket Mortys. Instead of simply transferring ownership from Rick to Rick, the chip Kai was given permanently attached to his nervous system. It replaced some memories with the Rick who took him instead of his original, and erases other memories completely, leaving Kai's memories a scrambled, disorganized mess.

After escaping this Rick Kai decided to try wiping out all Ricks, but due to a poorly organized murders and compassionate rage, he didn't get very far and was quickly discovered by the Citadel. Shortly after, Kai was returned to his original Rick, a guard in the Citadel.

Due to the unfortunate string of events he's endured, Kai is incredibly distrustful of Ricks. Morty's outgoing attitude and confidence crumbled, leaving him a quiet and reserved kid. His Rick struggles to maintain a healthy relationship with Kai since his grandson had become so different, but tries his best to make Kai as comfortable has he can. Soon after reuniting, Kai is assigned to be K's guard Morty.

Bio: Kodak is Brigadier's Morty and has beef with him for abandoning his earth and essentially burying all guilt instead of taking up responsibility for his actions. Brig's efforts to lessen hostility between them are often rejected since he never directly apologizes to Kodak, resulting in a tense relationship where they tend to avoid one another save for surface level interactions and occasional arguments. It doesn't help that Brigadier brings a new Morty home a few months into Citadel life, thus confirming in his mind that he's replaceable and his grandfather has intentions of starting completely fresh. Despite his annoyance towards Brig, he's able to recognize that his irresponsible handling of guilt isn't Mermorty's fault and they manage to have a harmonious relationship.

He has a hobby of taking photographs and editing them artistically to treasure the places he explores, and also takes care of various reptiles and amphibians. there's an entire wall in his room made up of nothing but terrariums, each one meticulously decorated and enriched to the nines. Additionally thanks to his reclusive life, he focuses on the online following he's created in videogame and music communities. His experience with refurbishing and repurposing old tech on his original earth made it easy to figure out simplified RPG programming and he spends a good amount of his time making retro-eque games from scratch.

Appearance: baggy clothes, rick-like short hair with a blue streak

Bio: Red Rick's original Morty, and the first to be victim to his horrific treatment.

Wired was raised in a dimension where his family was upper class and Summer was Rick's traveling companion instead of him. He went to a private school and got decent grades from doing his best and having exceptional tutors, but what he really wanted was to go on space adventures like his sister. Throughout his teen years he was envious of Summer, until one day, Rick dropped her companionship and finally chose him. Rick quickly packed his things, wrapped up his science shit on earth, and left with Morty.

Their time together was chaotic and unpleasant, as they were both controlling and had fiery personalities. At one point during a fight Rick kicked him out of the ship and dumped him on a import planet to fend for himself. This Morty is in constant need of attention, and therefore sought out said attention in unhealthy ways, selling himself to alien folk and anyone who would give him the time of day. His idolization of Rick manifests into unhealthy obsession, and stuck in a body that is mostly machine and cannot grow organically, Morty modifies himself to gradually appear as the only worthwhile person he knows.

Wired attaches himself to any Rick in need of a Morty. If and when the Rick acts in a way that reflects he doesn't care for Wired, he's killed and Morty starts fresh, seeking out an impossible to find happiness as Rick's traveling companion.
